Kislingbury Village School Auction
Friday 21st November 2003
at 7pm in the Village School
On Friday 21st November, the Village School is holding an Auction to raise money for the school's library fund.
Over 50 fantastic items have been donated so far:
- A childrens party at Megabowl
- A rock-climbing lesson for 6 people at Danes Camp
- A helicopter ride for 3 people
- A 'Pay as you go' mobile phone
- A personalised hand-made quilt
- A computer lesson
- Various meals
... to list just a few. There is a list on display outside the school.
We would like to add to this list and need your help. Have you any unwanted new items or gifts?
Or, would you be willing to make something, for example a celebration cake or a bird table, children's packed
lunches for a week, or maybe you could do four hours gardening one weekend, or a Saturday night's babysitting?
Have you, or a member of your family or friends, a hobby or skill you could donate for us to auction?
We would love to hear from you. So, put your thinking cap on! If you are unsure about your idea or want more
information please speak to Rachael Bignell or Debbie Lloyd at school. Alternatively you can leave your name
and telephone number in the school office and we will call you.
The Auction will be great fun - we have an auctioneer and plenty of volunteers to help on the night,
but more importantly we need you. Come and support the event and have a fun night out with your friends.
You could start your Christmas shopping early or treat yourself to some really original gifts. And at the end
of it all, your money - every penny - will be used to help build a school library!!! How fantastic is that?!
Tickets only cost £3.50 which includes a light supper (cheese and biscuits, kindly donated by J Sainsburys - so what are you waiting for?!
